Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd (DICV), a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, has celebrated the completion of one year on Indian roads of its BharatBenz trucks. It may be recalled that DICV launched the BharatBenz range of heavy duty trucks on September 26, 2012, at Mumbai. During the course of its first year in operations, nine models have been launched as well as 52 dealerships been established by the German CV maker. More models including the tractor trailer will be launched in the months to come. As on date there are more than 5,000 medium & heavy-duty BharatBenz trucks on Indian roads. The DICV manufactured “Fuso” trucks have already been exported and launched in SriLanka and Kenya and very recently in Zambia.
